Independent Counselling Training

Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills

Wednesday 29th September 2021

(6 - 9pm)

This course will provide you with skills and underpinning knowledge to enable you to work using counselling skills as part of your current role, either in a voluntary or employed capacity.

This intensive course also forms the first part of the Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling as here you will gain enough knowledge and understanding along with self awareness to prepare you for working with clients as part of the level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.

The ultimate aim of the qualification is to enhance your counselling skills. You will be given the opportunity to develop a range of counselling skills and greater self-awareness. You will be encouraged to take active responsibility for your own learning which aims to enable you to establish good practice from a shared experience with fellow students and staff both from the course and elsewhere.

The ABC Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills aims to:

 - develop a repertoire of counselling skills at a consistent level

- underpin these skills with an understanding of one major therapeutic model

- increase the self-awareness of the person and an awareness of the impact you have on people.

What can I do next?

On successful completion of this course and following a successful interview you will be able to progress to the two year part time Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (Level 4), a professional qualification in counselling, what is commonly known as your 'licence to practise'

Course Fee: £900

A deposit of £100 is required once a place has been accepted and the remaining fee can be paid in full or by agreed monthly instalments.
